Sisters and brothers, it is very delicate when we meditate and we have so many problems daily. It's very difficult for us to concentrate on God. Just to think of the name of God, or even to remember that God exists is already very difficult. We tend to forget God when we need God the most. But this is the practice. This is why we have to do it every day, until we overcome our weaknesses, overcome our problems, and remember God every time, in every situation of our life. Until we close our eyes and we see Hirm. It's not that in one minute to the next, you can become united with God right away. After thousands of reincarnations, millions of years of recycling yourself in this world, it is very difficult indeed to re-acquire this habit of remembering who we really are.
We are Gods. We are one with God. If we are one with God, that means we are God. At least if we are the children of God, we have the God quality. Any child bears some resemblance to his father, by having the father's DNA and blood type inside. So we cannot say we are not Gods. If we are not Gods, or we are not the children of God, where do we come from? Dinosaurs? And then where do the dinosaurs come from? They have to be traced back to the origin somehow. But we have forgotten this. Even I forget sometimes, when I am under pressure and suffer. I forget it for your sake, so that I can suffer.
So maybe you have forgotten yourself for someone else's sake. Or, that is your sacrifice. You struggle for someone else's benefit. It's all right. But don't lose heart; just continue. The fact that you have come to seek God through initiation, the fact that you have come all the way here, despite the difficulty of your journey, your country, your job, or your family problems, you come and sit here a whole week in this intensive period of time, hoping to find God, that is very, very precious already.
The intention is important, not always the result. God knows! God knows our intention. That is very important. And you know your intention. That's important. The Light and Sound are only the proof that God exists. Hes exists anyhow, whether we see or don't see.
In the Bible, it is stated, "Blessed are those who do not see but believe." The people who see God, who experience God, they believe. That's easy; their longing is not intense any more. But for the ones who don't see, their longing is the substitution for blessing. As long as we still long for God, we still have the blessing, we have the connection with God, we feel that we have something to work for, something to strive for, to achieve, it's okay.
Don't always sit there and expect an experience. This is the worst experience that you can have. Because the expectation dampens the spontaneity, dampens your carefree spirit, and that in turn sometimes really obstructs the vision. Have you ever experienced that, when you sit in front of the television but you are so wrapped up in some problem you don't even see what's there? Or when you're reading some book--you're reading and reading, and you know the exact words, but you don't understand anything. You read it again and again, and still it doesn't register in your mind what the book or the letters are all about.
So, God is always right there. It's just that we are over-anxious, and also over-burdened with troubles. Be patient. That is the way you have to work through your life. That is your destined mission, to work through problems. That's how you earn your place in Heaven, working through them. And if you don't work this life, next time there is double interest. How terrible! That would be worse. It's true. Every time we come back again, the obstacles will be more manifold. That's why people are afraid of reincarnation, not because we have to be a human being again, but just that we have to face many more problems than the last reincarnation, until we work it all out. And really, without the Master's blessing, without Master power, we couldn't make it. With the past karma, the present karma, and the coming karma--ooh! (Master shakes Her head vigorously from side to side.)
Even if you think I don't have problems, I do. Every problem you have, I have--sometimes more intensely, or the problem is more intense. But we have to survive, so I have to pick myself up, and then continue my work. You think it's easy to be a Master. It's not true. I don't know about other masters; you can go ask them. I don't know. But for me, it's not easy. It's not a problem physically. It's an inside problem. You can't point it out, like, "Oh, it's my children," or "It's my work." I can't even point to what my problem is; it's just there. Sometimes it chokes me. Okay, we all have to struggle, but we can make it. We are making it! We will arrive.
We can live our lives in many ways. We can try to use violence or force, or we can try to use unreasonable measures, thinking that we can get what we want. But finally we all have to make the great choice, that is, to come back to own Self, to our God's Nature. The way of the saints since time immemorial has always been peace and love. That's our true Self.
Our thinking will affect the whole planet. Even though our group may be small compared to the world's population, our thoughts are not small. Together we can make a difference, if our thinking is concentrated in the same direction. And this concentrated thinking power can defeat the other concentrated group of negative power, and then, we can better the world. That is also the purpose of our being here at this retreat, because we can change the future. No matter how bad the present is, we can still change the future, because we have the free will to do so.
The universal brotherhood is a vast, beautiful net of intelligence, and we are all a part of it. And if any part of this net gets into trouble, then the whole net is kind of delayed in function, and becomes defective. Therefore, we need to fix that part, and then everything will be all right.
We are, in fact, one. No matter what we do for each other, it is the same as doing it for ourselves, because we love each other. That is the essence of life. The essence of life is love. The essence of God, of Buddha, of Allah, is love. There's nothing else but love. When we make the choice of love, that is the highest choice, the noblest choice, which is our true Self, we will feel that we are very close to God, very close to Buddha.
There are many choices we can make in life. Depending on the choice we make, we will become the being that represents the choice.
God's love always helps people. But we have to share it, and then we will know better. The more we share, the more we know the strong power of love. If you keep it all to yourself, of course, you won't know much. This is just like having money in the bank and never spending it, never knowing the thrill of spending it. You never know how much or what money can bring you, such as this nice car and these beautiful clothes that make you look different and make you feel good. It is the same here. Love, we have to spend, too. The more we give, the more we realize that it is great, that the most important thing in life is love.

Your work itself is a blessing. When you're working for God and the multitude, your merits multiply. As you help more people, as many fold of merits will be added to your treasure of spiritual progress.
Nobody is going to protect us, if we are not protected by our own spiritual development and spiritual power.
Enlightenment is the only solution to all kinds of diseases in this world. God's love is the only medicine for all kinds of trouble on this planet.

For everything in this life, we can prepare. We must prepare a long time for everything we want to enjoy or experience. We even prepare for a 'rainy day.' We work hard and then spend some, and we put some in the bank and some in a savings account for emergencies. And we even save for retirement; we prepare for the funeral service, but we forget to prepare for the road after.
Every one of us knows we don't live here very long. We are not here to stay. But the worldly demands and the struggle for survival have always tried to make us forget what we are here for, and that we won't be here very long at all.
Anyhow, all of us will leave this physical world one day, but not all of us are prepared for the final departure. That's why most of us feel very uneasy and fearful about that day. Even though some of us are still very young, like me, we already worry about this fearful day of departure. That is because we have not prepared very well for it. We prepare insurance for sickness, for the house, for the mortgage and for everything else, but we have not prepared for the day that we will depart from this world. In the Bible it is stated , "Forsake the flesh for the spirit; learn to die so that you will begin to live." We might read this every day or even more than once a day. But many of us do not know how to die daily so that we can know life as it truly is. Of course, that's all right also. Because we all have Eternity to make our choices, again and again.
I am not here today to show you how to live your life. I will show you how to die. Because it's only when we learn how to die and face death squarely that we will no longer be afraid of the unknown. Once we die, it's the same as living now, except with much, much better conditions. We are freer. We can move anywhere at a speed faster than light. We can have anything we want in an instant. We are freer than a bird. And we can have access to God anytime, because we will be one with God. But that is only if we have prepared for it. Because our thoughts are very powerful. In everyday life, whatever we think or desire the most will come to us. Suppose at the time of departure from this world that our thoughts were dwelling on something, and it had not come true yet, then we would return again to this physical planet to live out our desires or to fulfill our wishes. So for anyone who does not wish to come back here again, or who would like to master the destiny of their future existence after this one, there is a way to prepare for that.
At the time of our departure from this world, if our thoughts are very powerful about something, we will be drawn to that thing, that event or that desire. This means that when we are alive, we should train our thoughts in a very positive way every day, as much as we can, until it becomes second nature, until it becomes us. Then at the time of death, we will go where our thoughts lead us. We are the essence of God and we have God power within us, whether we are aware of it or not. So our thoughts are, practically speaking, very, very powerful.
If, during our lifetime, we are brainwashed into believing that we are sinners, that we are unredeemable wretches who are not worthy of God's love, that we will go to hell, and we have been told how terrible hell is--then at the time of death, if we believe what we have been told, we will go to the so-called hell. Even though hell doesn't exist, we create it or other people create it for us. Since the old times, fear has been injected into our genes, into our brains, into our way of life, so that certain groups of people could have control over us and make us submit to whatever their purpose, which was not always very noble. Therefore, in order to free ourselves, we have to re-acquaint ourselves again with the true teaching of all the Masters since ancient times. This teaching is that God--or Buddha or Allah--is ever merciful.
We are the children of this highest power, and we will be forever loved, forgiven, and helped in any way possible in this life and the life after. I have seen that myself. I have seen God power at work. I have seen only love and mercy in the realm of the invisible as well as the realm of the physical. There is no such thing as damnation, hell or revenge from God. Because even if our mortal parents love us and forgive us time and time again, our God Father or God Mother will be infinite times more loving and forgiving. The only problem is that we have long been brainwashed into thinking that we will be punished for whatever mistakes we may make in this world. We will do so--we do all the time, because our physical brain, the physical body and the physical environment force us into making mistakes. But it doesn't matter what mistakes we make, God can always repair them. So Hes would never condemn or punish us in any of the ways that we have been made to believe.
That's what I have discovered. So I would like to share it with you. And I hope that from today you will keep this in your mind, whether you want to study further with us or not: Remember that God is merciful. And have no fear whatsoever, either here or hereafter. At the time of departure, there will be beautiful beings of Heaven waiting for us immediately as the soul leaves the body. The reason that many people have not been able to see this, including at the time of death, is that they have not prepared themselves. Or perhaps they have prepared themselves in the wrong way, such as thinking they have done wrong in their lifetime, for example, like breaking some of the Commandments. Maybe these people have prepared themselves in a negative way because they thought they did something wrong in their life. So they expect damnation or punishment, and that's what they get.
Whatever you believe shall be materialized, because you are God. You are one with God, always, even though at the moment, due to physical hindrances, some of us do not realize this. We truly have nothing but God within us and without us; we are nothing but God's essence. There is nowhere else we could go but to be within God's embrace, all the time, 24 hours. We are separated from God because of our thinking and our deep-rooted beliefs that we are mere mortals. In order to remember that we are God again, we must train ourselves backward again. The way we have trained ourselves to think--as separate from God--we have to retrain in the opposite direction. We will do that until finally it becomes automatic. And then, because we contact God every day through our diligent and pure intention of practice, we will know for sure that we are one with God. So at the time of departure, there's nothing but God surrounding us, or heavenly beings that come and greet us to the higher dimensions of Love.
Some dead people do not see this phenomenon. Even though Jesus stands by and Buddha is near, they do not see Them. Also they don't realize that they could manifest anything at will, that they have the power of creativity in their hands. Especially after leaving this physical body, the whole power will be returned to us again. It's not really returned, but without the hindrance of this physical body we become all-powerful again, just like in the days we were with God, before we descended into this world.
But some of us depart from this world without knowing this secret; we did not learn it; we did not learn to master our thinking while we were in the physical body. So at the time of death, we forget even more. For example, you have probably heard about people who died and "came back" complaining that they were in hell, they need help, they need prayer, etc. These examples are true but only for those people. They are not true in general--not true for you and not true for me.
For those who have learned the secret of the universe, who have learned the power of creativity, and have learned to be one with the universal mighty power, they know everything before and after they die. They are masters of their own destiny--anywhere, now and hereafter. But to arrive there, we need some practice. It may take a few days, a few weeks or a few months. Not only do we practice to remember our own creative power, we practice so that we also enjoy Heaven while living; we enjoy contacting God's intelligence while we are still here on this planet, so that we can make use of this power to enhance our life and the lives of the people that walk on our path. But this takes some discipline, even though it's so easy. We would rather work for money, for a car, for a house or for a beauty, than work to re-earn the Kingdom of God. Why? Because it's become a habit. Whatever we have been trained to do since we were young, we continue doing that.
The brain doesn't like change. The brain likes everything settled, simple and fixed, with the same routine every day. Whether bad or good, the brain likes that. It becomes very upset when change takes place. Because machines are like that, and the brain is also only a machine. Even the power behind the brain, the mind, is not very highly qualified for the purpose of attaining Heaven. The mind is just like the electric power behind the computer. So we have to return to the source of all wisdom and Truth. If we do not train ourselves now, at the time of death it will be too late.
Our brain and our mind have become fixed into some negative thinking patterns, and we have not had enough time to escape from or to repair those patterns. But we can do so during the time that we sojourn on this planet. This is the easiest way. Because if we have not prepared for that day, if we have not learned about what we are doing and where we are going, then at the time of death we will be overwhelmed by different dimensional karmas. Karma is the Sanskrit term for the law of cause and effect. Whatever we do in this lifetime will be ingrained as impressions in our thinking, and when we die we will bring those impressions with us. So if we want to erase that, we must do some deep contemplation and purification. We can call it meditation, contemplation or deep prayer. But we must do it correctly. There is a very easy way to do it, but it must be correct. Just like everything else, there's a correct way. And if we know that way, it's very easy.
At the time of departure, we all hope to go to Heaven. We normally should; every average citizen in the world will go to Heaven. But there are different degrees of enjoyment of Heaven, just like there are different houses in Cape Town. Some houses are cheaper, while others are more expensive, with more equipment, more comforts, a swimming pool, everything. The extent of our developed consciousness is the extent to which we will enjoy Heaven after we leave this physical world. That is, if we have trained ourselves sufficiently, we can ascend to Heaven immediately after death. If not, we will sometimes hover around for a while until we realize that we really are gone, that we no longer have a physical instrument to work with, that our speech will not be heard by our loved ones, or that our wife or our husband is bringing another person in front of our nose every day to our bed. And there's nothing we can do about it. It doesn't matter how much we complain or how many tantrums we throw. No one understands anything, and nobody cares.
At that time, it creates great suffering for us. Also, we will be overwhelmed by the results of our thinking during the lifetime while we were in the physical body. During the time we are living, if we keep thinking negatively, then when we die, that's what we get. So if we die without preparing, without meditation on positive power, without connecting to God's power, the negative thinking that we had during the lifetime will overwhelm us and take us to unpleasant places. And that's why people say there is hell. We could escape from that hell if we are conscious enough at the time to walk out of our own prison. But most of the time, we have not prepared, so we are weak. We are not strong enough to walk out, so we have to stay in the negative atmosphere for a while until it dies down.
There is also another kind of pressure for us, not just our own individually--created sphere of negativity or pressure. We also have the collectively created consequences of the people on this planet, as well as that of our relatives and friends. Because we haven't learned the art of mastering our own destiny or how to walk the correct way to Heaven, we will stray here and there; we will be pulled apart in different directions or pushed into the unpleasant scenery of an illusionary planet, which to us at that moment seems absolutely real. And that's how people say they enter hell, and they suffer.
But it must not be like that. Even if you don't want to practice vegetarian compassion or practice meditation with us, you should always tell yourself and remember that God is merciful. That is the only thought you should remember at the time of death. Then you will be clear enough to see that Jesus is standing by, that Heaven is opening its gates, that angels are greeting you with the music of the Celestial Realms. You must remember something noble like that--that we are the sons and daughters of God, that we can never be anything lower than that and that nothing at all can harm us. These thoughts should be ingrained in your mind. If you think like this, you will not fear the Angel of Death because he doesn't really exist. He exists because we created him by believing in him during our lifetime, so he manifests. Whatever you wish shall be given unto you. Knock, and it shall be opened; ask, and it shall be given.
Because on this planet, sometimes we ask for something and when it doesn't come immediately, we think it doesn't work. But it works all the time. It's just that because we are hindered by this physical body, we might not see a result immediately. Sometimes it comes a little bit later, and we have forgotten. We forget that we wanted it. We think, "Oh, this is just luck!" or, "This is just bad fortune that these things happen to me." But nothing really happened without us wanting it in the first place. Also, if we are not strong enough in our will, then of course the karma, the negative or positive collective consciousness will affect our daily life as well as our time of departure.
In our daily life, we are more or less shielded by this physical ignorance. At least we don't know when something bad is coming. But when we leave this physical protection, we will see everything. Everything will affect us immediately. If we die, and the loved ones are crying and lingering and missing us so much, and they cry and they suffer, we feel it exactly as if we are suffering. That's why during the time of the loved one's departure, maybe the best thing is that we should just pray for them to go to Heaven, to enjoy and be liberated. Maybe we shouldn't be praying, crying, lamenting and missing them so much, because that will make them feel very miserable and delay their departure to a higher dimension. Death should be celebrated, not mourned, because that is our final liberation. Nothing can touch us anymore; nothing can harm us. Nothing can cover us anymore. We will know everything, and we will be a part of everything. We can be anywhere in a fraction of a second. Everything that we wish for will come true immediately.
But in order to prepare for a higher reward than just this, we should learn the art of mastering our own destiny and our own future. We should create our own Heaven, prepare our own future, and not let the atmosphere or karma of other people influence us and drag us here and there like a slave or a dog. Because we are the master. We are the Children of the Ocean of Love, of God. We have dignity. We should walk like a god; we should act like a god; we should think like a god. It's not easy, because we have forgotten how to do that. But that's only a habit, and habits can be trained; they can also be broken with time. During our busy activities, of course it is difficult for us to control our thoughts and train ourselves again back to the glory of who we really are. That's why we have to choose a short time--span during our busy schedule to be quietly alone with ourselves and with God. At that time, we can concentrate our power of thinking. Then we can correct the habits of our thoughts and make them positive. And day by day like this, we will become the Children of Heaven again, as we really are.
That's why we should meditate every day, not just after initiation. Because after initiation, you're liberated already. You are a free person. You really are free. No one can touch you any more. But in order to have a smoother life here and to enjoy Heaven while we're still breathing, in order to re-train ourselves into being the Prince and Princess of Heaven, we must remind ourselves every day. It's sometimes not even enough. Because we have already been reminded, time after time, for a long, long time, just how bad we are.
So now we have to be reminded again of how good we really are. That's why it takes time. It takes everyday practice to remember this. You are not going to learn anything; you're just going to remember, because there's nothing for you to learn. You are the King of Heaven; you are part of Heaven, part of the whole universal power. There's nothing you cannot do. Just take the time to remember it again. I am here to help you to remember, and it's not as difficult as you think. It's easier than making a living; it's easier than driving a car; it's easier than sleeping. So it would be to our benefit to try, because it is so easy and simple.
To those who could devote their entire heart and mind to regaining Heaven, we can give you the whole instruction. You meditate two to three hours a day, or as much as you can. For example, you can cut down a little on sleep, talk less on the phone, and watch only the important news on TV--don't just sit there and watch whatever comes on. So then you will have a lot of time. We find that we have a lot more time to spare if we cut down on many of the unnecessary activities we used to do just to kill time. Now we don't have time to kill; we use it to live. We use it to resurrect our soul. Then, not only will we feel good and bless ourselves, we will bless others as well.
A habit is hard to break, we all know that. But that doesn't mean it's impossible. Before, I couldn't drive a car. I just got a license recently. So when I found that I could drive, my God! I felt like a human being. I felt like everyone else on this planet. I was so proud; I wanted everyone to see that I was driving. Because I trained myself. The first time, I failed. The second time, I failed. But the third time, I succeeded. Even learning to drive takes so long! It takes effort, money and concentration. Still, we can do it. We can do this and many other things, like learning English or even learning to walk. We were born crawling--not even crawling, lying helpless as a baby. But as a baby, we know how to try. We try to crawl, and then we try to stand up, and then we try toddling around. Then we try to walk. And then we run, and now we even fly!
So everything is a process of learning. To a baby, it must seem impossible to see the adult running, riding a bicycle, driving, jumping around or dancing. But to us, it's easy, because we have tried; we have trained ourselves. Similarly, we can train like that to go to Heaven. It looks difficult at first, but it isn't. It is more difficult if we try by ourselves. But it's not difficult if someone else already knows how, and shows us by hands-on experience or teaching. It's very simple. That's why since ancient times, God has sent a lot of teachers to show us the way, because we have forgotten.
Being able to show us the way doesn't mean that person is better than us. We call him or her "teacher" just because in the beginning, they teach us something. In this planet, we call someone a teacher of English or professor of Mathematics, for example. But in the order of Heaven, no one is lower or higher. There is just someone who walks the way first and shows the one who walks later. And someone who knows the way already can show us; it's easier, less stressful, surer and quicker.
We could try to walk back to Heaven by ourselves, but there are so many parts of the road we don't know because we have forgotten, and sometimes it could be frightening. That's why many people feel they are not up to it. They're scared. But when you have someone walking with you, holding your hand and protecting you, showing you the way to walk and where to avoid, then the road is more pleasant. You have a companion, and it's quicker and easier. So in short, I am here in case you feel you want to remember again who you truly are. And there's no cost and there are no conditions.
The so-called Five Precepts are not the Five Precepts. They are a measure of your readiness, or a way that we can measure our standard of quality. Remember when Moses came from the mountain and handed down the Ten Commandments? He said they were from God, so that we know where we are and where we stand. It's not that you must follow me "or else." It's not that. You don't even have to follow me. I will just teach you once, and you can remember all the time. Then you can do it alone.
After we give you the instruction, you will know what to do. You'll be your own master every day. The difficulty is not following one master, or any master. The difficulty is being your own master, having the discipline to do what you have chosen to do and what you know is the best for your soul.

Q: Why do we have wars, disasters and catastrophes?
M: Well, we cause all of these things ourselves. I am sorry to say it, but we are all responsible for whatever happens to us. That's because we are also a part of God, and we have creative power. Whenever we think of something loving, kind and correct, then we create a better atmosphere and we experience a better environment. Just like when you love another person or when you fall in love, doesn't that feel good? Even though you cannot prove what love is and you cannot touch it, you know it's love and you just feel so good.
Everyone around us is also affected by this happiness. We can love everyone else when we're in love. We can kiss everyone else as well, because of the power of our love. In contrast, when we hate someone, we create hatred. When we have jealousy, when we have this lower kind of attitude and quality, we create a very negative atmosphere. That atmosphere in turn affects us and the people around us. And when too many of these negative or hatreful atmospheres are created, they are drawn together by the law of "like attracts like." Then they become vast and more powerful. They can influence even the weather and will influence people's hearts. And that is what causes disaster; that is what causes war.
Don't you notice that sometimes when you are in an angry mood and you respond very sharply to another person, that person in turn also feels agitated and angry toward you? Then sometimes finally you both fight each other, because of this very burdensome and very pressurizing atmosphere of hatred and anger. So when a lot of this is going on in the atmosphere, it becomes real; it materializes in some concrete disaster, like bad weather or war or an epidemic. And this negative atmosphere, of course, will be attracted to wherever is already thickest with this kind of quality. All of the scattered negative energies will come together where there's already the densest 'clump' of negative energy. Then bad things will happen, right there.
So we should make sure in our lives that we give love more and more, that we think before we act and that we stop before we think anything negative. In this way, we will also contribute to the peace of the world. But as mentioned earlier, ignorance is the only thing to be blamed for all these bad things that happen to us. Ignorance and not knowing God--that's the only criminal in this world, or any other world. Because if we are enlightened, if we know God, we are so happy and so blissful that we can never do anything wrong, or we're far less likely to do anything wrong. We are enlightened and wise; we know what's right and what's wrong.
So the best thing anyone can offer us is enlightenment. And that's the best thing I can offer you: more than gold, more than diamonds, more than anything that is the so-called best in this world. Because even if I give you money or if I give you a house, these things will also pass away; they can also be destroyed by war, fire or accident. But if I give you enlightenment, you will be able to do everything you need to do, earn anything that you need to earn, protect yourself and take care of yourself forever. Even if you lose your home or your money, you will never lose your enlightenment or your wisdom. You can always start anew. You can always find ways to survive better and better in this world. So enlightenment is the best gift that God can give to us.
Q: Do you think there will always be war?
M: If our planet elevated itself to a higher level of spiritual understanding, there would be no more war. War only exists in an atmosphere of hatred, misunderstanding and frustration because of the distance between humans and the God within themselves. War is the crying out of anguish, of longing for Home; it's the most desperate and violent cry of a kid who doesn't know where his father is. So if we show him the father or the mother, he will stop crying and kicking his feet.
The child doesn't know right from wrong. The child-hungry, thirsty, cold, frightened and lonely--only wants the bosom of his mother. That's all there is. But as long as our planet is still far away from God's knowledge, we will still have wars. And that's why I am coming to different countries, sometimes even without invitation, if God has directed me there--so that the child can know the father and stop all these desperate, lonely cries.
In the higher civilizations of other planets, people are more intelligent and spiritually developed. They don't ever have war with each other because they know God is with them all the time; God is the only thing they live with and for. On this planet, not many of us can see God directly; we don't talk to God directly about all of our anguish, our frustrations, our fears and our worries. But despite our tough appearance, we all have our problems, weaknesses, fears, wants and desperation. And when we have nowhere to turn to, we tend to turn violent. That's how war happens.
But the violent ones are also victims of war, in a way. The true victims of war and the ones who cause war are both victims, just of a different kind and different degree. The ones who cause war are the worst victims of all, because they don't even know right from wrong. They can't run away from themselves to take refuge in any other country, because they're deep within this terrible illusion of the negative power. They're struggling very, very hard. So the only way to end war on this planet or anywhere is to be enlightened, to know God--just like when the child is hugged by the mother, he stops crying.

Long, long ago, two birds and their fledglings lived near a farm. Every morning and evening, the parents would go out to find food for their little ones. One day, when they brought the food home, the baby birds said to them frantically, "Pa! Mom! This is the end of us!" Startled, the parent birds asked, "What happened? Tell us quickly."
The baby birds said, "We heard that the owner of the farm has asked his relatives and friends to come and help harvest the crops tomorrow. We will have nothing left to eat." Their parents comforted them, saying, "Don't worry about it. No matter what, his relatives and friends will definitely not come." The baby birds were confused, but they believed there must be some truth to their parents' words, because they were older, more experienced, and must know everything. Reassured, the baby birds ate heartily. Several days went by, and true enough, none of the farmer's relatives and friends came to help with the harvest.
Then, a few more days later, when the parent birds came back with food, their little ones told them again, "This is the end! We heard that the farmer has asked all his children to come home tomorrow to help reap the crops. We will have no more food. We are in serious trouble!" Their parents laughed and reassured them, "No! It won't happen! Don't worry. Their children will definitely not come to help them. Don't be afraid." The baby birds were happy to hear that. Their parents had made the correct prediction last time, so they must be right again this time. The family enjoyed their dinner joyously, and truly, as predicted, none of the children came to help the farmer harvest his crops.
Again, several days went by, and when the parent birds returned to the nest with dinner for their babies, the little ones again told them, "We are in trouble! We are in danger! We heard that the farmer and his wife have decided to harvest the crops by themselves tomorrow. They are not going to rely on others or ask for help." This time, the parents were really worried and said, "This is indeed the end!" (Master and everyone laugh.) The little ones asked, "This is strange! Why is that? The last two times we told you that they were going to get help from their relatives, friends, and children, you were delighted and said that nothing would happen. Why are you so shocked this time that they are going to reap the harvest by themselves and not rely on others?" The parents explained to them, "You don't understand. If they really rely on themselves, they will definitely do it. You cannot depend on others. Now that they have decided to be self-reliant, they will definitely do it. We will have no more food. We had better move to another farm."
The moral of the story is: We spiritual practitioners should rely on ourselves rather than on others; the Quan Yin Method teaches us how to rely on ourselves. Even this body does not belong to us, so practicing with the body only is not ideal either. That is why I emphasize that we should practice with our inner, original Self, and remind our original Self to practice spiritually every day. Only this is the best way. This is why we derive so much benefit from practicing the Quan Yin Method.
Back to contentsThe phone rang, and the teacher answered it, saying, "Hello, may I help you?"
A voice said from the other end, "Is this Mr. Hsieh? I would like to inform you that Tony cannot come to school today."
The teacher asked, "Who is this, please?"
"This is my father speaking, of course," came the answer.
A shipment came into the port. It contained crystal being imported into the country. When the dock workers were unloading the cargo, their supervisor came by to check if everything was okay with the crystal. He saw a new packaging worker and patted his shoulder, saying, "Oh, you are doing well and I observe that you have done as I asked. You have stamped the top end of each box with 'This side up, handle with care.' This is very good. You are doing a very good job, and you haven't missed a box. You've stamped every box. I've noticed that. This is good, very good."
"Yes, sir, I am a very, very diligent man, as I told you on my first day of work. I even stamped the bottom end of each box with the same mark. I stamped both ends, just to be sure."
At the traffic fine office, the police handed a motorist a receipt for his traffic fine. The motorist must have been fined for speeding. He grumbled, "What am I supposed to do with this?" The clerk advised him, "Keep it. When you get four of these, you get a bicycle!" (All laugh.) By that time, he wouldn't be allowed to drive a car!

In News No. 114, we published a report on the Magnetic Resonance Tester (MRT), a sophisticated machine that confirmed Master's complete enlightenment when Her hair was tested.
This report generated widespread interest among fellow initiates, and in response to the overwhelming requests for more information, we conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Baek, the MRT's inventor and head of the MRT lab. The following are excerpts from the interview.
Interviewer: Could you please tell us about the MRT?
Baek: As I explained in our previous meeting, the human body has a magnetic field, also known as Chi or the aura. The MRT reads information in the human magnetic field, and its sensor detects precise data about life organisms up to very subtle vibrations. It can perform tests on anything that contains vibrational information on the human body, including hair, blood and urine. Therefore, the MRT is also known as the "chi information reading instrument."
I: How was this instrument invented?
Baek: I'm not an engineer, or a professional medical doctor. I'm just a spiritual practitioner, and have been practicing various spiritual methods for many years. After ten years of practice, I received inspiration for this instrument from the I-ching (Chinese Book of Changes). It suddenly dawned on me that the I-ching describes the universe as a digital 0/1 binary system, the only difference being that it uses the yin and yang (-, +) symbols.
I also discovered that energy studies had devoted much less attention to polarity than to dynamics and vibrations. Therefore, I began to contemplate the possibility of integrating waveforms and polarity into the analysis of information on life energies.
At the time, I knew nothing about engineering. But as people say, "Where there's a will, there's a way." I discussed my idea with some engineers and asked them to write an executable program for the functions I envisioned. I successfully invented this tester about five to six years ago, and it was released on the market about two years ago.
I: Please elaborate on the specific principles underlying the MRT's functions.
Baek: Before we discuss its functions, we must first understand two basic concepts: the body code (or hereditary nature) and the principles of the I-ching.
The MRT can detect the inherent vibrational polarity (-, +) patterns in the human body and its system. Each person has a unique set of polarity patterns, and these yin and yang combinations are known as the body code, which is an inherited and constant quality. A reading and analysis of the polarity patterns of a person's Chi energy will reveal his or her genetic information.
The concept of "reading polarity patterns" is based on the principles of the I-ching (i. e., the transformations of the hexagrams in the text during divination). Analyses can currently identify up to six levels and sixty-four classifications. The first stage or level of the analysis basically categorizes the human body as either yin or yang. At the second level, this yin or yang quality is classified into four patterns and further into eight patterns at the third level, sixteen at the fourth, and thirty-two at the fifth. This brings the total to sixty-four patterns at the sixth, or final level. In the I-ching, these patterns are known as the sixty-four hexagrams. Every human being corresponds to one of these sixty-four body codes. And the more comprehensive an analysis is, the more specific and accurate is the information obtained.
I: Why are there only six levels and sixty-four patterns? Can there be more categories?
Baek: The analytical system of the MRT is based on the theories of the I-ching, which delineates six levels and sixty-four combinations. I have tried repeatedly to raise the number of the levels, but have been able to support only the six-level framework. So I have tentatively concluded that classification is complete at the sixth level. If possible, I hope to develop finer and more sophisticated equipment that can analyze the human body code up to 64 X 64, a multiple of 64 categories. If this becomes possible, then perhaps a computer can be used to analyze the data automatically. We now have to rely on insightful human analysts to obtain accurate results.
I: Please elaborate on the data analysis process.
Baek: The MRT has 3,000 embedded codes. At the time of our last interview, we had about 2,300 codes, but we have since increased the number through ongoing research.
I will briefly explain how the MRT functions. First, we determine which of the sixty-four body codes corresponds to that of the examinee. We have a comprehensive database of genetic, physical, and temperamental characteristics for each of the body codes and information on the weaker organs of the body that are more susceptible to diseases.
Once we identify the corresponding body code, we analyze the normal/abnormal code to obtain information on any illness the examinee may have. We then compare this information to the MRT embedded code to determine possible health problems. Resonance occurs when two energy forms vibrate with the same frequency. So we test the normal human organ vibrational codes one by one against the examinee's test sample (hair or urine) and if resonance occurs, that means the organ is fine. But if it doesn't, that means the organ may not be functioning normally.
When no resonance occurs, we input the specific diseased codes for that organ one by one. Through this process, we are able to locate which part of the body has been affected and by what kind of disease. Even if the symptoms are physically indiscernible, the illness can still be detected. Any micro abnormalities that cannot be diagnosed by other tests can be detected. For example, we can detect the presence of invisible accumulated poison and precisely measure the degree of heavy metal contamination of the body. The MRT has more extensive functions relating to the spiritual aspects of a subject, but we'll only discuss its medical features at this time.
The MRT can distinguish a person's inherited physical qualities, special characteristics and weaknesses. It tells which diseases he or she is more susceptible to, so that precautions can be taken. Should an examinee be found to suffer from certain health problems or abnormal conditions, we provide more specific information about the causes and conditions of the disease.
I: Once a disease is diagnosed, how is it treated?
Baek: Even if you do not know you are ill, once abnormalities occur in your cells, or symptoms of any disease surface, we do what we can to make things right. We usually write a prescription for Chinese medicine and alternative medicine. We may also prescribe natural therapy or acupuncture, depending on the condition. Sometimes we prescribe special kinds of baths or saunas or physical exercises. And we generally suggest a vegetarian diet as the dietary cure.
I: Master has told us that not everyone can operate this machine because it requires intense concentration.
Baek: I was surprised that Master Ching Hai grasped this vital factor of the MRT so accurately. Although people can use it if they are well-trained, strong concentration is essential to obtaining an accurate and precise analysis. Very strong concentration is required to determine whether you resonate to an established code or not, without omitting subtle and fine vibrations.
Before an analysis commences, the MRT sensor has to be fine-tuned to the analytical program and the state of the human analyst. This is because the frequencies of a living organism inevitably influence the subject, so the sensor has to be tuned to correspond to the frequency of the living organism. It must be set at that optimal point of complete resonance with the human body. That's the most difficult part and that's where the caliber of the analyst becomes important.
A machine needs to be tuned only once a day, but the frequencies of a living organism change every second, as before and after a meal, or before and after meditation. Because any subtle changes in the analyst can affect the readings and analysis, the MRT must be tuned very often. Since it is difficult to tune the sensor when the mind is in a state of excitement or distraction, it is best to conduct the analysis when the mind is calm, as in meditation. Resonance occurs primarily in the form of light and sound. In order not to miss the very subtle vibrations, strong concentration is required. That's why the analyst's tranquility and concentration can affect the final analysis.
I: Does resonance appear in the form of light and sound?
Beak: Yes. Resonance occurs in the form of light or sound, and even graphics. But with this instrument, we basically listen to the sound. We have to listen carefully to both resonant and non-resonant sounds.
I: You said that Master has a body code that enables immediate enlightenment.
Baek: Yes. I was very astonished when I tested Her body code. It was exceptionally pure and clear in every aspect. Because it was so clean and clear without any negative factors, I further analyzed Her non-polar resonance. It was amazingly perfect. The highest degree of non-polar resonance means that all of Her chakras are opened and that She is in a constant state of enlightenment.
But it doesn't mean that She has an exceptional body code. She is among the sixty-four patterns, each of which resonates to reveal certain information. Some categories, for example, are more likely to develop cancer, and some are more prone to suffer a stroke. There's also a category where the chakras are easily opened. I cannot provide the details of the test results, but Master corresponds to this type. So the body codes and degree of non-polar resonance are somewhat related, but totally different in concept. Body codes cannot be changed in one's lifetime because they are inherited genetic characteristics, but the level of the chakras can be developed and changed through spiritual practice.
Of course, deviation may occur when machines are used to measure enlightenment. However, I want to emphasize that this spiritual aspect, which was once invisible to material science, can now be demonstrated, thereby extending the entire field of science.
I: Thank you very much. What future prospects do you foresee for this machine?
Baek: The MRT is a very advanced piece of equipment compared to other instruments. But I heard Master say that there are similar but more advanced machines on the more highly developed planets. I have mentioned several flaws in this machine. In the future, of course, we'll try to develop more sophisticated and advanced machines, like those on other planets. Truly advanced science can keep pace with the development of spiritual knowledge.
I'm not a material scientist, but I consider myself a natural scientist, because I'm a practitioner. I'm very happy to have developed and to operate this equipment, for through these experiences, I have become more convinced of my spiritual realization. Basically, I believe that we don't invent things from nothing, but that we all came from enlightenment and already know everything. What remains for us to do is to remember our forgotten wisdom.
